TRANSPORTATION Practice

Dillingham & Murphy provides a range of counseling and litigation services for corporate clients and insurance carriers for the motor carrier, shipping, watercraft and other transportation industries. We also have transaction experience in domestic and international fleet acquisition, fleet leasing, and operating unit subleasing of intermodal transportation equipment, including railcars, containers, and over-the-road trailers.

We have substantial experience in the defense of bodily injury and property damage claims involving truck accidents, products liability, freight, cargo and economic loss claims as well as commercial and employment matters arising out of the transportation industry. Our firm also undertakes providing insurance coverage advice in connection with all of these issues.

Dillingham & Murphy has a Rapid Response Team to get counsel and experts quickly to an accident scene.

Provides negotiation, document drafting, mediation, arbitration and trial. The transportation attorneys have the skill, experience, resources, judgment and work ethic necessary to effectively and efficiently resolve complex disputes through settlement, dispositive motions in advance of trial, or through trial to a final order, judgment or award.

“Boot camp” training involving hands on experience and training on closed course truck driving, safety inspections, instruction on the Federal Motor Carrier regulations, keeping and reading driver log books, and accident reconstruction.

Is an active participant in the Transportation Practice Group of the USLAW Network, Inc., a member of the Defense Research Institute, and attends trucking association related seminars and conferences.
